FRANKLIN C. ASHBY, PH.D.

The author or co-author of four highly-regarded books on management and organizational strategy, Dr. Frank Ashby has been described several times by major news outlets as one of America's leading experts in leadership development and the building of high-performance organizations.

Currently the president and CEO of The Leadership Capital Group LLC in New York, Dr. Ashby was previously executive vice president and chief learning officer of Manchester Partners International, and the president of Manchester Training. He also served as the incoming president of one of America's largest IT training companies during his career, and as the vice president of instruction and the chief educational officer of Dale Carnegie & Associates, Inc., the world's largest for-profit leadership training organization. Over 3.5 million people in 85 countries have participated in leadership programs designed or directed by Dr. Ashby, including managers and executives from all of the Fortune 500.

During his years at Dale Carnegie, Dr. Ashby was responsible for all matters pertaining to the administration, design and delivery of all Carnegie programs and services in 77 countries, plus a global teaching staff of 20,000 instructors and class assistants. The originator of
The Organizational MRI, The Exponential Effect and Weave curriculum designs, Dr. Ashby is a former member of the Commission on Educational Credit and Credentials at the American Council on Education in Washington, D.C., and a former chairman of the Business Advisory Board at ACE-CREDIT. A nationally-known expert in organizational strategy and measurement systems, he's participated in briefings for former president Bill Clinton and several members of Congress over the years, been recognized for his service to the FBI Academy by former FBI Director Louis Freeh, and was listed twice during the Reagan administration among wish list candidates for Congress by a top Long Island business association. In 1996, he served as an analyst for MS-NBC during the first Clinton-Dole debate, and as a presentations advisor to congressional candidates in Texas and New York.

Dr. Ashby is a former host of the award-winning radio talk show, Career Clinic (WNYG), and a former acting president of the Columbia University Alumni Association (L.I. Region). He received a tryout with the New York Mets at Shea Stadium following his senior year in college. A graduate and former guest lecturer at the Summer Institute in Management Systems at the Columbia Business School, he currently serves as a dissertation advisor to doctoral students at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Dr. Ashby served as a Deputy U. S. Marshal (WAE) in Brooklyn, NY (EDNY) from 1975-1981. He holds a Ph.D. in management and organizational development, an M.A. in adult learning from Columbia University, an M.B.A. in management from The New York Institute of Technology and a B.A. in counseling psychology from Hofstra University. He and his wife, Rita, and their son, Danny, live on Long Island.

ARTHUR R. PELL, PH.D.













One of America's best-known and most prolific business authors, Dr. Arthur R. Pell specializes in leadership development, human resources consulting and career management for The Leadership Capital Group LLC.

The author of 40 full-length books and over 150 articles, recent efforts include
Embracing Excellence with Dr. Ashby, the revised version of Think and Grow Rich, the classic best-seller by Napoleon Hill, the best-selling Complete Idiot's Guide to Managing People and The Supervisor's Infobank, a main selection of the Executive Book Club.

Dr. Pell was selected from a list of prominent business authors to write the first revised edition of Dale Carnegie's classic

He holds a Ph.D. in business administration, plus an M.A. in psychology and B.A. in economics from New York University, and a professional diploma in counseling psychology from Cornell University. Eric is a tenured Associate Professor with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension working in

He is active on several national committees helping to shape a National Youth Development Agenda for Cooperative Extension.

Eric developed the National Award winning program "Project THUNDER: Teens Taking Charge!" for at-risk youth using adventure-based activities to engage and train teens in personal leadership, decision-making and civic responsibility. Eric also teaches young people about entrepreneurship via the "Mini-Society program - Vegas Style" and helps prepare young people to enter the workplace equipped with the skills necessary for success through his Career Edge workforce readiness program. In addition, Eric is Nevada's military liaison and Operation: Military Kids (OMK) project Director helping military youth connect with 4-H and gain a sense of "normalcy" (while their family members are deployed) during the war on terror.

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, and the former Vice President of Leader Capability and Learning at Pfizer, Inc., Mark A. Mula is a nationally-known authority on organizational effectiveness and the development of leadership talent. Prior to this most recent assignment, Mark served in several world class global corporations in a variety of Human Resource and Education roles including Managing Director of the UBS Leadership Institute in Stamford, Connecticut during his ten years at that firm. Mark also served eight years in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Officer and as an instructor at the Naval Submarine School in Groton, Connecticut.
